Frequently Asked Questions

What is the core vision of the Vermi-Farm Initiative?

Our vision is to empower 1 million smallholder farmers in Africa with reliable, climate-resilient incomes by 2030 by transforming food waste into wealth, land degradation into productivity, and vulnerability into dignity.

How does the Vermi-Farm Initiative align with SDGs?

We directly advance SDGs 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work), 12 (Responsible Consumption), and 13 (Climate Action)—with measurable, localized outcomes in every intervention.

What is our theory of change?

We believe that when farmers access affordable climate-smart technologies, regenerative inputs, and inclusive finance, they unlock the power to feed their communities, build wealth, and restore the planet.

What is our current reach and scale?

As of March 2025, we’ve engaged 6,247 smallholder farmers, with women and young people accounting for at least 92.68%.

How do we measure impact?

We track outcomes across four domains: soil health, farm productivity, household income, and community resilience. We use baseline-endline assessments, digital surveys, and partner M&E frameworks.
